SWIRL Finishes

Swirls were first done by Darren Johansen, who ran a company called About Time Designs, and responsible for the fantastic swirls that appeared on the Ibanez UV, Jem2KDNA, Jem77GMC and Jem77PMC series guitars by Ibanez. Later, other artists such as Herc Fede (USA), Richard Fay (UK) and others continued the artform, and inspired many to mimic the technique and styles.

Here at ET Guitars, we love our swirls too, taking inspiration from Darren and Herc, and have spent much time and resource in developing an attractive range of swirl schemes. We make use of our Neon Colors, and make faithful tributes to the original ATD works, with colors as vibrant, and patterns as chaotic as appeared on many of the collector's item Ibanez guitars.
